Day 1- Love is Patient

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. -Ephesians 4:2 NIV

"Patience is where love meets wisdom. And every marriage needs that combination to stay healthy."

Dare 1- Resolve to demonstrate patience and to say nothing negative at all.

busy busy busy...

well, things have been pretty busy around here... projects and such.
Brandon's parents and us are in search of a house...so thats biiiiiggg fun... well it was, now its not. Its different than just buying your own house. Its their house and their money so its really their decision...and thats all TOTALLY understandable-just hard.
Mom and I went Saturday with a friend from work to garage sales. It was big fun! We hadn't gone since the old days. So it was cool-(ha, actually not, by 9 o'clock it was like 100 degrees) but it was fun to sort through people's old crap as BC would so kindly refer to it as... :) But we each got a treasure, Addyson got a few... and all in all it was a good morning.
We also decided that where mom had planted some trees needed some beautifying, so as I "helped" Brandon dug up the yard and mom shopped for our supplies. Each of us doing what we do best. That is kinda a beating.
**Gotta pause for a snow cone and meeting about the houses... :)
Just FYI I would do almost anything for a snow cone.

Happy Anniversary to Me!!

Today is our wedding anniversary! 3 years! Its hard to believe sometimes! (But then I think about our almost 2 year old...)
I knew the day I met him that we would get married. I think I even went home and told my mom. I was looking through a memory box last night and came across a bunch of old cards and letters from him. He is so sweet and thoughtful and all that a girl could ask for.
Anyways, its been great fun so far-looking forward to at least 50 more! <3
Thanks Hubbs for the wonderful times/memories/love/laughter. I love you!!

wow

It seems like just yesterday I was on here blogging it up, intending to come back the next day...didn't happen so much... Its funny how fast time seems to fly.
That has been big on my mind lately since Addyson will be *two* in a few months. That is just CRAZY to me. How does that happen? I am just so proud of her and everything she does. Constantly Amazing. I feel sort of sad for anyone who doesn't know her. Because they are missing out.
I have a scropping weekend coming up in July that I canNOT wait for. Its just good to get away and be girly and responsibility free. :)
At work, some people have been passing around this book- Same Kind of Different as Me. It is an AMAZING book. Literally- you MUST read it. I am thinking some people may receive it as Christmas gifts this year. I want to be a Deborah. You probably will too after you read it.

I'm Baaaaacccck....

Maybe.

We shall see. I definitely got out of the "groove" here. But let's give it another whirl. :)

So I am actually back on here because of my phone. Stupid thing went all crazy on me tonight. Pretty sure Addyson broke it.... (its true) So it keeps wanting to "Hot Sync" with the computer. Which is a feature I never knew the thing had. Well it won't work on Brandon's computer because his is too new and cool for a Palm phone I suppose. So I had to dig this thing up and try to set it up. Well- FAIL. It did not provide any solution. Great. Now Brandon is at the Wal looking for a microscopic sized screw driver so he can take apart my already screwed up phone and try to "fix" it. But anyways, I sort of forgot about this thing since I'm always on his new cool computer instead of this thing. But here I am. Thank goodness for the favorites star, it holds all the info my brain is too full to handle for me. Gotta love the interwebs.

I don't know what else... We'll see if I am back tomorrow (or the next day?)

wow...

Yesterday was Rick's funeral. It was really hard to see Shannon like that, and those poor babies. I just don't know how to say in words how I feel for them. I simply cannot fathom the pain of losing your Daddy at such a young age and how Shannon has to maintain herself and keep teaching them about their Daddy and what kind of person he was so they will remember. My heart just hearts for them.
The funeral was so nice. And packed. He loved and was loved by a lot of people, that was apparent. They played that Aerosmith song, "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing"-Shannon's mother got up and spoke about how Rick told her that song described his feelings for Shan some time ago. They also played a song about Daddies and their little girls for Marlena and Abigail, (Daddy/Daughter songs tear me up by the way) then a song for his sons Brandon and Marshal.
So, needless to say, I am feeling sort of obsessed about my own mortality. I know its not the most sunny thing to think about, but-what if??? I cannot just ignore it and be content with the possibility without making some changes and put certain things into effect.
Do all of you have life insurance? Rick did not. Something they never really thought about...now what is going to happen? I have Addyson to think about. I haven't seen the Hubbs yet (Late night with the Mavs) but we have some major planning to do. We need to ensure that Addyson would be OK. This has been a real smack in the face example of how you never know God's plan. You just have to do the best you can in the short time you are here.
I also heard a really great quote over the past few days of this... Its not the years you were born or died, its the dash in between that counts.
Really has me thinking...
