Happy Snow Day!! (or Ice Day...whatever)
Hello! Hope everyone had a happy snow/ice day. I'm not sure whether it actually snowed anywhere but I just think its weird to have an ice day. Anyways, woke up at around 4:30ish, terribly sick to my stomach...AWFUL. I felt like the Hubbs. :( So, I called in late to work and took the morning easy. Everyone here slept in, so I had peace just watching the schools pop up as closed. Well, I started feeling better and got ready for work...on my way there, I called to let them know I was coming. I was informed that they were thinking of closing early and to just "turn around and stay home with my baby, as I should be." So trudging back home I went.
Had a very lazy day... came home and got right back into PJs. Addyson didn't get out of hers all day. I got all of our files organized and put away 2008 stuff to make room for the new bills. I can't wait to get all of our W-2s so I can get our taxes started--*HOPING* for a refund! What should we do if we get one? Of course there are always bills that need paid, savings accounts that could use a boost, and all the items on our "I need this" list, OR use it towards a NY city vacay?? at Christmas time?? Sounds like a good plan to me. Hubbs wasn't as excited as I had thought he would have been when he heard my idea... So, I guess we shall just have to wait and see. Boo to that. Maybe I will just claim it all and have a shopping spree at the Hob-Lob or Mikes.
Mom and I went through some scrapping stuff today, of course mine turned into a giant messy "organizing" project. I cannot believe it is 2009, my daughter is only 14 mos. old, and I am more than 8 mos. behind putting her life on paper! How does that happen??? Just another reason that I NEED to go to this 24 hour crop!
I have gotten away from scrapping a bit lately because of all of these other crafty projects I am finding/copying... These are an idea I stole from a girl who exposed me to the wonderful world of scrap retreats...
Mom's is the purple one (the bottom picture of each is the backside)...it is much smaller, fun-sized if you will... and mine is larger sized and Wonderful. I love them. I don't know what to do with it. I mean besides the obvious, to hold paper. If I put normal sized paper on top, then I don't get the full effect of the arrows and the color combo, so maybe I should just make 10 more...
Also just got done baking some super delicious Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. Why do I choose to torture myself???
Ooohh-Oohh, almost forgot! Yesterday at school, Hubbs had to draw a "model" that came into the class. Not the most attractive body on this one, and for a pose or two, Hubbs was on the bad side and had to draw the dude's "frontals!" EWW!!!
